I just deleted my post. Not accidentally. On purpose. I realized it was becoming a rant on a bunch of topics. Rather than an intelligent discussion.
So, this will be short. Lest I end up ranting again.
Here is something to think about - placebo pills. Placebo pills for children. If your child has a complaint about, for example, a sore toe - give the kid a placebo pill. Magic - the child is cured and you no longer have to listen to the complaining. Unfortunately, I'm not making this up... You can buy placebo pills in the U.S. Disturbing. Sad statement on our society. Quick fix indeed.
I've noticed a lot of teenagers with their noses in their textbooks. Guess it is exam week. I so don't miss those days. I remember at times wishing I would slip on the ice and fall and break my leg - thereby excusing me from writing my exams. No such luck. Phew.
I registered. Yep, all signed up for criterium nationals on June 30. Cool. Should be a good weekend in Beauce. Marc is racing the road race on June 28. I'll get to cheer him on and hand out bottles. Then we both race on the 30th. Marc is up first at noon, then I'm racing at 2:00. It will be a good time. I can feel it already.
Smooth training ride today. Nice little 90 minute spin. Legs are feeling good after last week's thrashing. Most of the residual soreness from crashing on Sunday is gone now as well. So basically I'm feeling good and pumped to race this weekend.
What are you doing on July 18? I suggest you make your way to Montreal and check out the Just for Laughs festival. One show in particular - Three Beans for George. I'd link to the details on the Just for Laughs web site - but I'm struggling find the details... Anyway, definitely you need to check it out. This big sister is incredibly proud of her little brother.
Okay, I'm out. Got to do some cramming of my own. Eclipse help development. Cool.
Good weekend ahead. Riding. Racing. Cheering. Friends. Chilling. Knitting. Sunshine. Smooth indeed.
Have a good one. Smile - it is June after all. Remember February? Exactly my point. This is so much better.
