I've been tagged by a couple people to complete the 25 things meme that is making the rounds of the blogosphere/facebook. I don't normally participate in memes but I thought this time I'd give it a go. I'm supposed to tag 25 people to complete this meme but I'm going to break the rules - if you want to complete the meme - go for it.

So 25 random things:

1. i've never been stung by a bee, wasp or hornet
2. i once worked as a house painter in university, i only lasted 2 days
3. i was on the canadian taekwon-do team for the world champs in greece 2003
4. i am named for victoria island in the n.w.t.
5. my brother is hubert the cat
6. i am very bad at math
7. i'll take new books over new clothes any day
8. i'm addicted to the cbc
9. i have zero willpower - so i don't keep treats in the house
10. i could eat a peanut butter and honey sandwich everyday
11. i was the first white baby born in cambridge bay, n.w.t
12. i grew up in northern saskatchewan
13. when i was 18 i rolled my dad's car
14. i've broken my nose 6 times
15. i'm allergic to adhesives
16. i spend a lot of time reading cooking web sites
17. i would like to live in europe
18. my first cat was named piglet
19. i choose beef over chicken
20. i've worn glasses since grade 5
21. i have a lot of freckles
22. i have a lot of scars on my knees
23. my mom lived in singapore
24. i used to do a lot of cross-stitch
25. i like to watch track and field meets on the television

There you go - 25 random things. Phew, harder than I thought it would be.

Always interesting to read what other people consider "random facts" about themselves.

I wonder do we define ourselves with these random facts in anyway? Or are they truly random?

2. lived through an apartment building fire
3.watched two schools burn!
4.immigrated in '68
5.have lived and survived outside of Ontario
6. know what "good drying weathert" is
7.am a qualified scuba diver
8.can frame anything
9.taught school for 41 years
10.finally came to my senses
11.have been married for 41 years
12.senses?
13.have driven a teenage girl, non-stop, from sk to ontario
14.was at the 1960 olympics in rome
15.have flown 6 hours in the arctic with my feet on a coffin
16.eloped
17.lived in uranium city until the uranium mine closed
18.bought something from a guy in a parking lot, out of his trunk
19,hate pickles and peanut butter
20 had apple and date sandwiches every day for an entire school year for lunch
21.have a famous son
22.used to be the tallest person in my family
23. can speak French and German.
