On Tuesday I did something pretty darn nifty. I went to the nearby city of Hasselt and met a friend of mine. You see, I've been friends with Nancy on Facebook for a while, but we've never met in person... So on Tuesday we arranged to meet in Hasselt.
It was an awesome time. Nancy is an American who is living in Zolder - she is an avid cyclist and a personal trainer/fitness expert. We really hit it off. It is refreshing to meet someone else who has "seize the day" personality - no challenge is too big.
After a good chat over some coffee and hot chocolate, Nancy was off to her Flemish class and I decided to poke around Hasselt for a bit. While I enjoyed walking around Hasselt I didn't find it as appealing as Leuven. I just didn't find that this city has the same charm as Leuven. That being said, I still managed to spend close to three hours wandering around.
I snapped some photos during my walking so you can see what caught my eye:
Hope everyone is doing well!
Only one statue, Vicki. What's wrong with you??? :-)
